RF Upconverters & Downconverters:

 

The newly released ConvertaWave2™ model RF200-2500RV1, is a robust broadband RF downconverter. The downconverter operates over the entire 200MHz to 2.5GHz frequency range (in 1Hz steps), and provides superior rejection of out of band signals.  The downconverter offers AGC/MGC operation with over 100dB of attenuation, and user selectable IF bandwidths.

 

The ConvertaWave™ model RF22-52DCV1, is a robust RF downconverter. The downconverter provides superior rejection of out of band signals, AGC/MGC operation, and operates over VHF and UHF frequencies. The downconverter has extremely low noise figure and user selectable features.

 

NuWaves' RF2-3000UCV1 provides an up-converted RF signal from 2 MHz to 3 GHz from IF frequencies between 2 MHz - 70 MHz. Additionally, the converter boasts variable attenuation control and selectable bandwidth filtering. Boasting a miniature size of <9 cubic inches and a frequency step size of 5 kHz, the RF upconverter provides solutions for many military and industrial applications. Development kits are available that includes software for a PC Control Panel and an interface cable.

 

RF Receivers:

The RF200-2500TUNV1 is the first in a family of premier high-performance, wideband RF Tuners (HiPerTUNER) designed for front-end receiver and transmit applications where stringent RF filtering of the signal-of-interest is required with superb out of band rejection. The RF Tuner operates over a frequency range of 200 MHz to 2500 MHz.

 

NuWaves has several high-performance, high-dynamic range RF Front-End receivers and RF Tuners that deliver superb performance in high signal environments. The receivers and tuners boast a proprietary front-end architecture delivering high linearity throughout the entire receiver's system. The tuner/receiver intercepts RF signals over multiple octaves and down-converts to standard intermediate frequencies.

 

RF Filters:

NuWaves introduces its µFILTER™ product line. The µFILTERTM product line consists of standard and custom designed filters. The Standard Filter (SF) series offer fixed-tuned band-pass filtering in the 300MHz to 2.4GHz range, with available 3dB bandwidths of 1-40%. The Custom Filter (CF) series offer fixed-tuned band-pass, band-reject, low-pass or high-pass filtering in the 70MHz to 1GHz range, with typical bandwidths of 20%.  (Data sheet in PDF)

NuWaves introduces its High Intercept Low Noise Amplifier GPS Amplifier (HILNA GPS Amplifier) RF product. The HILNA GPS operates from 1200 MHz to 1600 MHz delivering less than 1 dB of Noise Figure, 32 dB of gain, with a IP3 of +31 dBm.  (Data Sheet in PDF)

 

NuWaves introduces its Micro High Intercept Low Noise Amplifier (µHILNA ) RF product. The µHILNA™ operates from 50 MHz to 1500 MHz delivering less than 1 dB of Noise Figure, 20 dB of gain, with a IP3 of +31 dBm. The µHILNA™ is provided in a miniature package and can be mounted to other hardware chassis using #2 hardware. (Data Sheet in PDF)

 

NuWaves introduces its High Intercept Low Noise Amplifier with Custom Filtering (HILNA CF) product line. The HILNA CF operates from 50 MHz to 1 GHz and allows the user to define RF filtering in the form of bandpass, bandreject, lowpass, or highpass while delivering gain and preserving noise figure and intercept point.   • Bi-Directional Power Amplifiers

The RF433PA, operating over the 350 to 450 MHz frequency range is a bi-directional amplifier that has a receive and transmit path. The transmit mode delivers a typical RF output power of 8 Watts with a drive level of 10 mW.  An onboard harmonic filter ensures that harmonics are kept to a minimum; while a limiter in the receive path prevents the receiver from being over-loaded from high-level RF signals. The bi-directional amplifier module comes in a miniature form factor and is ideal for constant envelope modulations such as FM and FSK. Custom frequencies and power amplifier modules are available.
  • NuPowerTM Power Amplifiers

The NuPowerTM Multi-Octave PA (MOPA) is a broadband, high-performance solid-state power amplifier delivering 15 watts across the frequency band of 225 MHz to 2.4 GHz. The small form factor of 3.9 cubic inches brings state-of-the-art miniature power amplifier technology to the war fighter, meeting present challenges in size and weight reduction. The NW-SSPA-15W-0.225-2.4 is ideal for broadband RF telemetry and military communication systems that require high reliability and high efficiency in a compact housing.

 

The NuPowerTM C-Band PA is a high-performance solid-state power amplifier delivering 20 watts across the frequency band of 4 GHz to 6.1 GHz. The small form factor of 3.9 cubic inches brings state-of-the-art miniature power amplifier technology to the war fighter, meeting present challenges in size and weight reduction. The NW-SSPA-20W-4.0-6.1 is ideal for C-Band RF telemetry and military communication systems that require high reliability and high efficiency in a compact housing.

Synthesizers and RF Signal Sources:

NuWaves' low cost new synthesized frequency generator product line provides a robust signal source with exceptional phase noise performance. The first model, available in March 2008, operates over 330 MHz to 550 MHz frequency range and delivers 40 dB attenuation control.

 

RF Transceivers:

  • RF data transceivers:

The RF-V-47-TR is a high-performance, low-cost VHF data transceiver, which produces 100mW of RF power at the antenna port. The transceiver operates on one of two channels providing either half-duplex communications or in a streaming mode for continuous transmission of data. 

 

The RF-U-3545-TR-2 UHF RF Module produces 100mW of RF at the antenna port. The transceiver delivers extremely low transmit spurious signals. The design includes robust defenses against interface issues such as over-voltage, over-current, and reverse voltage protection. The demodulated receiver data is uncorrelated and requires integration into the OEM's host controller for bit synchronization and parsing of messages thereby forming an entire Radio Transceiver. 

 

The RF-U-3545-TR-1 UHF RF Module boasts dual RF output power modes. The transceiver incorporates state-of-the-art power amplifier protection circuitry including a Voltage Standing Wave Ration (VSWR) detector that provides a go/no go indication, over-voltage, and reverse voltage protection. The design includes power detection methods that hold the RF output power relatively constant over varying conditions such as temperature and supply voltage. The transceiver interfaces to OEMs controller board to form a complete radio solution.
